Arrival at Tromsø, and full day tour. Visit to the interactive fishery museum.
Day 1
Tromsø: City and tasting tour
- Upon arrival to Tromsø Airport, you will be met by a driver who will take you to your hotel in the city centre for check-in.
- A guide meets you in the reception and take you on a guided city tour in Tromsø including visits to famous attractions such as:
- Cable Car visit
- Arctic Cathedral
- Polar Museum
- After the sightseeing by car, you end the tour at the interactive fishery museum, Full Steam, where you will get a guided tasting tour through the history of the Northern Norwegian fishing culture.

Day 2
Tromsø: Sustainable Humpback Whale and Orca Safari
- Breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
- Today you will spend most of the morming and afternoon on a boat. You meet at the pier where the world’s first electric carbon catamaran will depart towards Skjervøy where the whales are located during this period of the year.
- After a couple of hours on the boat you will arrive the Skjervøy area where you will have great chances of seeing the great Humpback Whales and the unique Orcas feed on herring in the fjords. Enjoy the spectacular sights from the deck, before the boat returns to Tromsø in the afternoon.
- Back in Tromsø, enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 3
Tromsø: Sami Culture and Reindeer Sledding. Northern Lights Cruise
- Breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
- This morning you will be taken on a culturan experience. A 40-minute transfer from the city you will meet the Sami on their home location. The Sami are the indigenous people of Norway, and has for decades run reindeer herding in the mountains and islands of the Arctic. You will get to try reindeer sledding, have a warm traditional meal in the lavvo (traditional tent) and the Sami host will tell their story and perform a joik, a traditional song.
- Return to Tromsø in the afternoon, late afternoon at leisure.
- In the evening you will meet at the pier from where abeautiful sailboat catamaran will take you on a Northern Lights Cruise around the Tromsø island. A warm meal is served on board during the trip in the silent night, and hopefully you will get to enjoy the company of our green lady, the Northern Lights.

Day 4
Tromsø: Dog Sledding Adventure
- Breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
- From the meeting point, we drive half an hour from the city centre to Kvaløya island where our dog sledding camp is located. Upon arrival you will be equipped with warm and comfortable clothing before you are introduced to the huskies at the camp. After mushing through the snow, you get back to the camp where a warm meal is served around the bonfire in a primitive building, before the bus returns to Tromsø in the early afternoon.
- Afternoon free at leisure.
- In the evening we will pick you up for your Northern Lights adventure. This time we will travel by minibus to a secluded place outside the city. We make up a fire and enjoy some snacks around the bonfire while we are looking for the Northern Lights.
- Overnight in twin room at hotel in the city centre.

Snowmobile ride on Svensby, and tour of the prize winning whiskey distellery, Aurora Spirit.
Day 5
Lyngen: Snowmobiling, Aurora Spirit and Northern Lights
- Breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
- Take a beautiful bus ride from Tromsø to the Lyngen Alps peninsula where the steep mountain peaks shoots towards over 1000 meters straight from the sea and towards the sky.
- The first stop on your way, will be at Svensby, where you will be equipped for a beautiful snowmobile ride by the foot of the Alps.
- After riding through the snow-covered fields, you continue towards the east side of the Lyngen Alps,
- Arrive Aurora Spirit, a prize winning, and the world’s northernmost whisky distillery. You will be given a tour in the spectacular building, followed by a dinner in the main venue. Facilities such as the outdoor jacuzzi is available for rental during your stay.
- Overnight in an on-the-edge hotel room box next to the distillery
Aurora Fjord Cabins
Far away from the light pollution and with an incredible ciew out the fjord, these minicabins are the perfect place for travellers searching for that magic tranqulity.
Visit the Ice Domes and the Fairytale island.
Day 6
Lyngen – Senja: Ice Dome Visit and Senja Island
- Breakfast in the distillery.
- After breakfast you will be picked up by a driver who will take you to the Ice Domes in Tamok Valley.
- Get a guided tour through the spectacular Ice Domes, carved out in snow and ice, with a cinema, restaurant and hotel rooms in beautiful decorations.
- After the ice dome visit the driver will take you further on to the magic Senja island, also called Norway in a Nutshell or the Fairytale Island.
- Enjoy the evening at leisure at the beautiful resort, Hamn i Senja.

Day 7
Sea Fishing by Boat and Northern Lights
- Breakfast is served in the restaurant.
- Try your luck fishing in the Arctic. The fishing grounds off Senja is great, and with a knowledgeable fishing guide on board we can almost guarantee the catch. Join an organised fishing trip. A guide, fishing gear and hot drinks is included.
- Enjoy the afternoon at Hamn i Senja.
- The spectacular scenery of the Northern Lights is a natural wonder that is best viewed in certain locations and under favourable circumstances. On our guided northern lights tour by car, we can find the best spots to photograph the auroras with the amazing Senja nature in the background.
- Overnight in apartment at Senja

Day 8
Senja – Lofoten: Polar Park and the Lofoten Islands
- Breakfast is served in the restaurant.
- A driver picks you up at the resort, and will take you towards the inland where you will visit the Polar Park.
- Polar Park is a visitor centre where the Arctic animals live in their natural environments in hughe fences. You will get to see wolves, moose, deer, lynx, polar foxes etc. While the bears have gone to sleep and will not wake up until spring time when the snow starts to melt.
- You continue by car from Polar Park to the Lofoten Islands.
- Evening at leisure in Svolvær.
- Overnight in fisherman cabins in Svolvær.
Svinøya Rorbuer
The rorbu cabins are idyllically located between the fish landing station, quayside buildings, fish racks, and other traditional, local buildings. There is the sea on one side, and the spectacular Lofoten mountains on the other.

Day 9
Lofoten: Sea Eagle and Fjord Safari by RIB boat
- Breakfast at Børsen Spiseri.
- Explore Lofoten`s coastline with us. We will take you safely to the magical Trollfjord, which is surrounded by mountains rising 1000 meters right from the ocean. Also we are likely to experience sea eagles at close range. We guarantee an adventure close to the nature elements. Our experienced guides offer plenty of good stories and local knowledge. Lofoten from the sea side will guaranteed give you memories for life.
- Enjoy the afternoon and evening free at leisure in Svolvær with all it’s cosy shops, cafes and restaurants.

Day 10
Lofoten: Vikings and Fishing Villages
- Breakfast at Børsen Spiseri.
- Today you will get to experience the wild and raw nature and culture of the Lofoten Islands. We start with a tour to the pittoresque fishing village Henningsvær, situated on lots of small islands out in the sea only connected by bridges.
- We continue to the Viking Museum where you will learn more of the era and the Viking settlements in Lofoten 1000 years ago.
- After the Viking Museum we pay a visit to Nusfjord, followed by some amazing sandy beaches on the northenrside of the islands before we end the tour in Ballstad.
- Evening free at leisure in Ballstad.
- Overnight in fisherman cabins in Ballstad.
Hattvika Lodge
We are located in Hattvika at Ballstad and provide accommodation in authentic renewed fisherman's cottages in Lofoten.
Head out to try out kayaking and for a hike in the wild nature.
Day 11
Lofoten: Sea Kayaking and Hiking
- Breakfast in the restaurant house.
- The guide meet you at the pier. You will get the right equipment for the tour, and professional instructions before heading into the kayaks for a tour around the harbour of Ballstad.
- After kayaking we recommend a relaxing hour in the sauna, before we head out again.
- The guide wil meet you and take you on a suitable hike for your fitness level. Experience the wild nature by foot, either in flat landscapes or hiking in higher altitudes.
- Evening free at leisure in Ballstad.
- Overnight in fisherman cabins in Ballstad.
Hattvika Lodge
We are located in Hattvika at Ballstad and provide accommodation in authentic renewed fisherman's cottages in Lofoten.

Ida was born and raised in the Lofoten Islands, has lived both at Senja island and in the Lyngen Alps, before she decided to start up her travel business in Tromsø, the Arctic Capital in Norway.
