Day 1
Moshi to West Kilimanjaro
Meet your guide in Moshi and drive via West Kilimanjaro to Kambi Ya Tembo in the Sinya Concession. After lunch enjoy an afternoon game walk with a Maasai guide. Dinner and overnight at Kambi Ya Tembo.
West Kilimanjaro/Sinya
On the north side of the mountain lies the 600sq km concession of Sinya which borders Amboseli National Park in Kenya. This is one of the few areas in Africa where huge elephant bulls, more than 50 years old, carrying tusks of considerable size, are regularly seen. This area offers spectacular landscapes with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Ol Doinyo Longido and Ol Doinyo Orok.
Maasai “bomas” are sparsely scattered in Sinya, with a total population of no more than 2.000 people living in a huge area.
Kambi ya Tembo
The camp has 14 tents set-up on the ground each with a private bathroom with shower and a private terrace. Some of the tents have views of the Amboseli plains and others of the National Park of Kilimanjaro.
Morning game drive with the opportunity to see elephants, giraffes, zebras and more!
Day 2
West Kilimanjaro
Morning game drive up to the border with Kenya. This is an opportunity to see elephants, giraffes, zebras and much other wildlife.
Return to the camp for lunch and afternoon visit to a local village to experience some authentic Maasai culture. Dinner and overnight at Kambi Ya Tembo
Kambi ya Tembo
The camp has 14 tents set-up on the ground each with a private bathroom with shower and a private terrace. Some of the tents have views of the Amboseli plains and others of the National Park of Kilimanjaro.
After breakfast return to Moshi or Airport for onward departure.
