The Palais du Tau is the former palace of the archbishops of Reims and dates from the 11th. century. It is now the cathedral museum and provides a sumptuous setting for some truly remarkable treasures. It owes its name to the "T" shape of the building and underwent extensive alterations up until the 17th century. The palace was seriously damaged by fire in 1914 and was only restored after the Second World War. It now houses the original statuary, treasury and some of the tapestries from the cathedral.
A thousand years ago, the cathedral of Reims saw the coronations of the kings of France. This monument, a masterpiece of the gothic era, was mostly built in the 13th century and has been completed in the 15th century. It is a truly remarkable structure and its exceptional statuary can be admired during a visit of the towers.
Then enjoy an unique experience in the heart of Reims, the "City of Coronations".
Sabering means, opening a bottle of Champagne while using a sword... Sabering is an art itself and Champagne Pol Couronne will introduce you to this Champagne region's tradition. It is also possible to do this exciting sabering outside in front of the boutique and facing the Notre-Dame Cathedral.
After the sabering you can relax and fully enjoy your sabred bottle! Santé!

It won the second prize… just behind the Eiffel Tower.
Considered one of the most famous champagne houses at the head of the largest vineyard in the region, Moët &Chandon also has the largest cellars, a 28-kilometre labyrinth carved into the white chalk of Champagne, under the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay.

Back to Reims, you should have a taste of another famous Champagne:
Located on Reims’ Place Saint-Nicaise, where the abbey of the same name stood in the 13th century, the Maison Taittinger contains some beautiful remains. At a depth of 18 metres, the journey through time continues in the whitewashed Gallo-Roman spaces that are part of the UNESCO-listed ‘Coteaux, maisons et caves de champagne’.
