Your itinerary
Arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, transfer to hotel and dinner at a traditional Khmer restaurant.
Day 1
Arrival in Phnom Penh
Upon your arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, our team will welcome you with jasmine flowers and assist you with your visa (Fast track).
Then you will be greeted by your English speaking guide and you will be transferred in a private vehicle to your hotel.
Free time at leisure to rest.
Lunch at your own expense.
In the afternoon you can enjoy an aromatherapy massage at the Bodia Spa, the perfect place to be pampered and relax.
For dinner, you will have your first experience of the Khmer gastronomy. Enjoy delicate flavors and generous hospitality at “Malis” Restaurant, where Luu Meng, the First Master Chef of Cambodia, and his team revive Khmer cuisine from the past with a present modern twist.

Day 2
Charming Phnom Penh
You will start your journey at Central Market and discover its Art Deco architecture of the 30’s.
In this major building of Phnom Penh you'll learn more about the Khmer food with a visit to the fish-vegetable and fruit market. You can also enjoy a typical Khmer breakfast, at one of the small local restaurants.
Then with your cyclo you'll reach the Wat Phnom. A Buddhist pagoda, built in 1373, which is the tallest religious structure in the city. Following the legend, Wat Phnom marks the birth of Phnom Penh.
Back to the French colonial time, with the discovery of the post square with the Post Office, the former Indochina Bank (actually a restaurant) and the first hotel of the city, Manolis Hotel. Today the building houses some Khmer families.
When you'll arrive at the old market, you'll discover this small alley not only full of all kinds of fruits and vegetables, but also all with the unusual Khmer food delicacies like giant snails.
Lunch at Sambok Restaurant.
After lunch, you continue by car, and you will discover the Royal Palace adorned with manicured gardens. Visit the Throne Hall and the Silver Pagoda where are kept all the Treasures of the Crown: admire its floor paved with tiles in pure silver and the Emerald Buddha.
Since your arrival we focused on the Historical Khmer Gastronomy; now you will advance into the present time with Samai. One of the new companies in Cambodia that use the traditional way to develop a new product: Khmer Rhum. You will discover how tradition from South America and from Cambodia can create a specific Rhum, like the one with Kampot pepper. (1,5 hours)
After that, we propose you to go to the Elephant bar at the “Raffles Hotel Le Royal" to try one of the cocktails made with the SamaiRhum, or with other new Cambodian spirits. This place combines the past and the new history of Cambodian gastronomy.

Day 3
Flight for Angkor
Breakfast at the hotel.
This morning you will be transferred to Phnom Penh Airport.
Your guide will leave you after your check-in.
Flight for Siem Reap, and the mythical Angkor, UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon your arrival in Siem Reap Airport, you will be greeted by your English speaking guide and transferred in a private vehicle to your hotel for installation.
Lunch at your own expenses.
You will start your afternoon by discovering the South Gate of Angkor Thom with its two rows of huge statues of demons and gods depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, and Bayon temple, a forest of carved heads. Continue to visit Baphoun, Phimean Akas, the Terrace of Elephants, which used to be a base for the king’s grand audience hall; Terrace of Leper king supposed to be the place of the royal crematory.
Then, at sunset you will enjoy a cruise on an Angkor Gondola. It is a unique Khmer traditional boat service located at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, on a small baray, a typical reservoir of ancient Khmer water system.
You can choose to simply chill out on the gondola, or you can have a little trek up to the top of the gate, to the historical ruins of PrasartChrung, and enjoy the sunset from a nice viewpoint.
During the cruise you will discover Khmer snack, eaten every day by Cambodian people. You will enjoy also a glass of Champagne.
Return to the hotel.
Tonight you will leave your hotel by TukTuk to discover Siem Reap's nightlife and gastronomy. Through 3 stages, you will taste different traditional dishes allowing you to learn more about Cambodian culture through your taste buds! You will get a good experience dinner at a local shop, like local people do.

Day 4
Countryside cooking class
Breakfast at the hotel.
This morning our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel to go to the local market and meet Monyroath's family.
Then you will be welcomed in the traditional wooden house of this nice Cambodian family to enter the kitchen and learn how to prepare typical every day dishes.
Accompanied by your hosts, you will go to the pagoda to offer a part of your cooking. You will then have the opportunity to live the unique experience of a Buddhist "blessing". After a short chanting, the monk will bless you with lustral water. This ritual, very popular among the Khmers, aims to drive out evil spirits, such as illness or bad luck!
Back at Monyroath’s home, you will have lunch and eat the rest of the prepared dishes.
Continue to Angkor Wat, Cambodia's ancient temple city and one of the wonders of the oriental world. Masterpieces of decorative details as well as of architectural style, those awe-inspiring ruins survived as testament to the spectacular achievements of Southeast Asia's greatest civilization.
At 8pm, enjoy the “Cambodian circus” show in Siem Reap / Angkor by energetic and talented young professional artists from Phare! – VIP Seat.

Day 5
Early Breakfast on Tonle Sap
Early morning (6am) you will reach the pier to embark on your private boat and discover Tonle Sap Lake with a visit of Mechrey floating village.
You will go through the floating houses with small private boats. The natural wonder of Tonle Sap offers an insight into the old tradition of lake life and the splendor of the countryside.
During your journey you will enjoy a nice breakfast on the boat. Early morning is the best moment of the day to observe the daily life of the lake with a boat functioning as a market, and how the food is prepared inside their traditional house.
After this, you will join Mr.Savuth, or his wife, to discover another side of the Khmer traditional food: the insects. He will bring you to the local market to watch how people choose and buy those special ingredients.
And then you will enjoy a lunch at Savuth's home to discover this typical Khmer food.
Start your afternoon discovering Ta Prohm temple, one of the most beautiful and famous temples in Angkor. As it has remained almost untouched since it was discovered, it has retained much of its mystery. Ta Prohm is the perfect lost temple in the jungle, Strangler figs trees and Kapok trees entwine themselves around those ruins.
Then visit Preah Khan, built in the 12th century by King Jayavarman VII to honor his father. It is located northeast of Angkor Thom and just west of the Jayatatakabaray, with which it was associated. It was the center of a substantial organization, with almost 100,000 officials and servants. The temple has a flat design, with a basic plan of successive rectangular galleries around a Buddhist sanctuary, completed by Hindu satellite temples and numerous later additions. Visit also NeakPean, a Buddhist temple on a circular island in Preah Khan Baray, built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. It is the "Mebon" of the Preah Khan baray.
At the end of the day, admire the sunset over Pre Rup (depending on the weather condition of the day).
You will enjoy your dinner at Embassy, a Khmer Fusion Restaurant, one of the best addresses of Siem Reap.
After dinner you will go to Sombai to discover how they make the local alcohol: the rice wine. You will enjoy a prívate tasting.

Upon your arrival at Sihanoukville Airport, you will be greeted by your English speaking guide and transferred in a private vehicle to your private villa in Kep (Around 3h drive).
Late lunch on arrival at the villa with Seafood & pepper, a specialty of the south.
The rest of your day will be free to enjoy the villa and the swimming pool.
For the sunset, you will enjoy a drink at the Sailing Club, next to the sea.

Day 7
Kampot Pepper Plantation
Breakfast at the villa.
Around 9am you will meet your chef for the day at the Villa. And you will go with him to discover the local market of Kampot.
The Kampot pepper is recognized on the international scene of the cuisine, and a lot of Chefs like to use it.
You will visit the domaine“La Plantation”. After an inspection of the production site and pepper plantations, your chef will teach you to cook the 3 typical dishes of Cambodia: The Amok, The Curry and the LokLak. The restaurant is located in an old traditional house in the heart of the pepper plantations.
Lunch consists of the prepared dishes. For the dessert you will try the pepper ice cream.
Then visit a small Cambodian Craft Beer Brewery in Kampot “Flowers Nanobrewery”. It is the only microbrewery in Kampot, and it’s owned and operated by the Japanese brewer Yuki. During the visit, you will be offered one bottle of beer.
Back to your villa, you will discover the other speciality of Kampot: the Salt. The discovery of the Salt Marsh.

Villa Des Palmes
Tucked into a secluded valley down to the Gulf of Siam, Villa des Palmes is a unique private villa with amenities and services “à la Carte”.

Visit one of the most famous markets in Cambodia, and take a boat ride to a secluded island.
Day 8
Crab Market and fisherman village
Early morning, reach the local crab market, and discover one of the most famous markets in Cambodia, mainly for the blue crab of Kep, but also for the squid, shrimps, or any kind of sea food.
You will see all the taxis that transport the sea food all around the country.
Back to the villa for your breakfast.
Then, you will leave for a day trip on a boat in the island archipelago around Kep.
Far away from the tourists' habitats, these small islands offer calm, white sandy beaches, and various snorkeling spots.
You will also discover a small fishing village where you will have a coffee with a family. A nice moment to discover the daily island life.
At lunch time, you will enjoy a barbecue (meat or seafood) on the boat.
During this day, you will discover islands and beaches, but also one of the major points of the Khmer gastronomy: the seafood.
Return at the end of the day to your villa in Kep after having enjoyed the turquoise water of the Thailand Gulf.
And finally you can continue and relax at the pool.

Day 9
Smiling Gecko Project
After your breakfast, your private vehicle will take you to the Smiling Gecko Project (Around 4h30 drive).
At arrival you will enjoy a nice lunch under the sala.
After lunch, you will discover this fantastic farming project that encourages and helps villages around the area, and some families from Phnom Penh slums, to produce organic products and have a better life.
You will visit the pig farm, the fish farm and also the chicken farm. You will continue visiting the organic garden and plantations, designed by some of the world’s major engineers
Afterwards you will join the chef Maria, a young Khmer woman who was trained by some of the best Michelin star chefs worldwide. She will give you a cooking class and share with you all her secrets. You will cook, of course, organic products from the farm.
Your dinner consists of your own preparations.
